Silicone Sheets from DermaHeal will last the entire duration of treatment. Scar treatment time is usually six weeks to three months. Treatment time may be longer for older more established problem scars. The R1030 is the largest of the standard sizes. If larger size is needed you may call DermaHeal at 800-588-7455 to order custom cut. The R1030 may be cut to smaller size. Use DermaHeal to treat scars that have already turned keloids or hypertrophic . When used early before problem scarring occurs, DermaHeal may also be used as a measure to prevent against problem scarring from ever occurring. Start using DermaHeal silicone sheets on lesions about two weeks after a surgical procedure or when the wound bed is dry. This can not only prevent problem scarring but will probably leave a more aesthetic looking scar than if DermaHeal was not used. Using Hyper-heal cream (link) in combination with Dermaheal silicone sheets can produce an almost scar less effect. Using DermaHeal early on also may prevent hypo-pigmentation (white line) as well as hyper-pigmentation (dark line).
