Two breast pieces for use after breast surgery. The product is intended for an incision that follows the natural curve of the crease beneath the breast. The measurement for this piece is calculated by measuring the incision underneath the breast not along the curved path but straight across from end point to end point. Piece may be cut down if needed. Scarring for breast reduction procedure may be extensive and permanent. Problem scarring such as keloiding and hypertrophic scars do occur at a higher frequency in breast reduction procedure so starting treatment with DermaHeal silicone sheeting after sutures are removed and wound bed is dry may be beneficial in preventing any problem scarring and insuring flat even colored wound repair. Most patients wear DermaHeal breast reduction pieces under a post-operational bra or under a simple sports bra while sleeping. At least eight hours of wearing time is recommended but the more you wear DermaHeal the more expedient and successful the scar management will be.

DermaHeal is non-gel so it is non-greasy and will not stain clothing. One sheet of DermaHeal pure silicone sheeting will last up to six months. Actual time of most scar management sessions is usually a much shorter 6 weeks to 3 months. Unlike gel sheeting which is tacky, attracts dirt and falls apart easily and needs replacing every week or two, one DermaHeal silicone sheet will last the whole duration of treatment. Simple wash DermaHeal silicone sheeting between uses with a soft soap like Ivory and it is ready to be reused. This durability make DermaHeal much more economic than gel silicone sheeting products. To calculate cost savings just multiple the cost of gel-sheeting product by a factor of 3 to 10. DermaHeal pure medical grade silicone sheets are also ultra hygienic as well as being thin and shear enough to wear and be comfortable underneath garments such as bras and or post-operational garments.
